Centering Prayer is a method of silent prayer, which prepares participants to receive the gift of contemplative prayer. The purpose of the prayer is not to replace other kinds of prayer but rather to deepen one’s relationship with the living Christ. The Centering Prayer group additionally practices Lectio Divina, an ancient practice of praying the scriptures aloud and reflecting on their meaning. Finally, the group shares about their experiences of Centering Prayer and their daily lives with one another. All are welcome to this prayer group whether they are a member of St. Angela Merici Church or not. Come join us from 6:30 to 7:30 pm every Thursday on Zoom.
