Knights of Columbus
THE KINGHTS OF COLUMBUS, COUNCIL 9511 AT ST ANGELA MERICI
The Knights of Columbus was founded on the principles of Charity, Unity, and Fraternity, and was established by Fr. Michael McGivney in 1882. The Knights are a Worldwide Organization, and their Charitable work has no bounds. The actions of Knights are achieved by empowering Catholic men to live their faith at home, at work and in their community which helps them to lead, serve, protect, and defend more effectively. The fraternity of the Knights instills a desire to be better husbands, fathers, sons, neighbors, role models and to put Charity and Community first. Council 9511 is part of the St. Angela Merici Community and stands ready to serve, provide parish support, earn funds to assist various needs. Our members support the church through facility maintenance, collections, funding projects and supporting various religious programs within the parish. The Knights also sponsor a monthly Fish Fry (FNWF), two Dinner Dances and three Blood Drives per year. In the Brea Community your Knights work events sponsored by the Downtown Brea Owners Association which are Car shows, Weekend Music Festival, and Photos with Santa. All sponsored projects help the Knights fund our Charitable Donations.
