Lectors
The documents on the liturgy speak about how Christ is truly present in various ways throughout the Celebration of the Eucharist. The proclamation of the word is Christ himself speaking to his people. The Lector’s ministry speaks the word of God in a way that the people hear God speaking to them personally. A lector is truly a minister who not only proclaims the faith, but invites and challenges God’s people to hear with their ears and their hearts.
