Sacred Heart Holy Hour
Because our world continues to be seated in wickedness, Our Lord’s request for reparation is no less urgent today than when He first appeared to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque in France in 1673, revealed to her His Sacred Heart and asked her to originate the Holy Hour of Reparation to His Sacred Heart.
So urgent was His request that Our Lord said to her, “Those who propagate this devotion shall have their name written in My Heart, and it shall never be effaced…Spend an hour in prayer to appease divine justice, to implore mercy for sinners, to honor me, to console me for my bitter suffering.”
We use a booklet titled, Holy Hour of Reparation. In 1945 this booklet was presented to Pope Pius XII for his approval He studied the booklet and approved it saying, This is one of the most powerful prayers that you can pray and is second only to the Mass.” Copies of the booklet will be available in the Chapel.
Please join us in this beautiful devotion honoring the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus on the Thursday preceding the First Friday of the Month. Watch the church bulletin for the announcement.
