As we enter the Third Sunday of Advent, traditionally known as Gaudete Sunday (or “Rejoice” Sunday), our St. Angela Merici Parish School community is filled with light, music, and the true spirit of Christmas joy!
The Meaning of Joy
The Third Sunday of Advent marks a shift in our focus, reminding us to rejoice as the arrival of our Savior, Jesus, draws near. Eighth-grade student Amelia captured this spirit perfectly, stating:
“Advent is a season of joy because our savior Jesus is entering our world.”
The school wishes everyone a blessed Advent season!
🎶 A Concert that Spreads Christmas Cheer
Our youngest students recently took the stage to share this joy with our entire community in the annual “Merry (Little) Christmas” holiday concert.
Students from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 3rd grade participated in the joyful musical tradition. The annual concert is designed to blend Christmas cheer with a celebration of Christ’s love, featuring:
- Prayerful Hymns
- Lively Carols
- Bright Smiles from our students
A special thank you goes to Mrs. Halliday, our amazing music teacher, for coordinating and conducting the wonderful show!
🌟 Our Mission in Action
The work and celebrations at St. Angela Merici Parish School are guided by our core mission:
The Mission of St. Angela Merici Catholic School is to proclaim the Gospel, celebrate through worship, build community, serve others and achieve academic excellence, through the discovery of each student’s gifts and talents.
We are incredibly grateful for your prayers and generosity, which support our school and help us fulfill this mission.
