Our latest school update highlights two beautiful bookends of the student experience: the whimsical joy of Read Across America Week and the solemn, intentional growth of the Lenten Journey.

📚 Celebrating the Joy of Reading

There is nothing quite like the magic of a good book to bring a campus to life! During Read Across America Week, our students dove headfirst into the world of literature. From “fun spirit dress days” to cozy classroom read-alouds, the goal was simple: highlight the importance and excitement of reading.

The photos say it all—whether it’s students sporting Dr. Seuss-inspired hats or friends huddled together over a favorite story on the grass, the spirit of discovery was everywhere. Teachers even carved out extra time in the schedule to ensure every student had the chance to get lost in a new narrative.

💜 A Season for Reflection: The 8th Grade Lenten Journey

While the younger grades were celebrating literacy, our 8th-grade students have been leaning into a deeper spiritual practice. As they prepare for their transition to high school, this Lenten season offers them a unique opportunity to pause and reflect.

On selected days, our 8th graders are attending daily Mass, using the time to:

• Pray for their community and their future.
• Reflect on their personal faith journey toward Easter.
• Grow in their relationship with God through the liturgy.

It is a powerful reminder that at SAM, academic excellence and spiritual formation go hand-in-hand.
