Reflections on the Journey: Stations of the Cross Through Mary’s Eyes

As the Lenten season deepens, many of us seek ways to connect more intimately with the story of the Passion. While the Stations of the Cross is a familiar tradition, the IGNITE Youth Ministry is offering a perspective that promises to be especially moving: viewing the journey to Calvary through the eyes of Mary.

A Different Kind of Prayer

Most of us are used to observing the Stations as a historical or theological progression. By shifting the focus to Mary’s perspective, the experience becomes deeply personal. It’s an invitation to feel the weight of the cross through a mother’s heart, offering a “prayerful way to reflect on God’s Passion” with a new sense of empathy and stillness.

Event Details

If you are looking for a meaningful way to spend your Friday evening, here is everything you need to know:

  • Date: Friday, March 27th
  • Time: 6:30pm
  • Location: Inside the church

Calling All Teens (and Moms!)

The ministry is currently looking for at least 14 teens to participate alongside their moms to lead the prayer for each station. This is a beautiful opportunity for families to serve together in a literal “walk of faith.”

Note: For students tracking their community involvement, participation in this presentation counts as a Service Event.

How to Get Involved

The organizers are filling spots on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you and your mom are interested in praying a station, please reach out to Mrs. V or Kathy as soon as possible to secure your spot in this prayerful presentation.

Whether you are leading a station or sitting in the pews, this event is a chance to pause, reflect, and experience the Passion in a way you may never have before.
