Brothers and Sisters,
It is with great joy that I share some beautiful news with our parish family.
Through the generosity of the Edgar Joel Uribe Foundation, and on behalf of the Uribe Verbena family, a magnificent marble statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe has been gifted to our parish community here at St. Angela Merici Parish.
Even now, work has begun in the southeast corner of our church grounds, just outside the church doors, where a small prayer garden is being created. When it is finished, it will be a quiet place where anyone can stop for a moment—perhaps after Mass, before work, or in a time of need—to light a prayer in their heart and place it in the loving hands of our Blessed Mother.
As we receive this gift with gratitude, we are also thinking about the future. To help preserve this sacred space, we have established a Maintenance Fund for Our Lady of Guadalupe shrine, so that this place of prayer will remain beautiful, peaceful, and welcoming for generations to come.
If the Holy Spirit moves your heart, I invite you to simply scan the QR code and consider making a gift to help care for this garden of prayer.
May Our Lady of Guadalupe, who appeared with such tenderness to Juan Diego, watch over our parish family, protect our homes, and lead us always closer to her Son, Jesus.
Thank you, and may God bless you all.
