Community, Faith, and Intercession: This Week at the Parish

There is a beautiful rhythm to life within a faith community—a constant cycle of lifting one another up, finding moments of quiet reflection, and gathering to celebrate the Eucharist. This week’s bulletin serves as a powerful reminder of how we carry each other’s burdens and joys through prayer and presence.

Whether you are looking for a moment of peace or want to join your intentions with the community, here is a look at what is happening this week.

Lifting Names in Prayer

The heart of our community lies in our care for one another. This week, we hold several of our brothers and sisters in our hearts. Our Prayer Requests (Peticiones de oración) include:

  • For healing and strength: Jose Luis Gomez, Thomas Gilson, Bertha Alvarado Rodriguez, and Felipe Ascencio Sr.
  • In loving memory: Edgar Llamas and Ann Taylor.

If you or a loved one needs a pastoral visit or would like to be added to this list, the parish office is always ready to assist.

A Sanctuary for the Soul: Adoration

In a world that rarely slows down, our Prayer Chapel offers a rare gift: 24-hour Adoration, seven days a week. It is a space for silent reflection, personal conversation with the Divine, and finding the “still, small voice” amidst the noise of daily life.

Additionally, we gather for Adoration in the main Church on the 29th of each month. For those interested in joining this ministry or committing to a specific hour of prayer, you can reach out via email at sam.adoration.brea@gmail.com.

Mass Intentions: April 13 – April 19

The celebration of the Mass is the highest form of prayer we offer. This week, we gather to honor the living and pray for the repose of the souls of the departed.

Getting Involved

Our community is a bilingual one, and we welcome everyone to participate in English or Spanish. Whether it’s through requesting a weekly Mass intention for a loved one or simply stopping by the chapel for five minutes of peace, your presence enriches our parish family.

Peace be with you this week.
