Unburying the Alleluia: A Joyful Easter Return
Coming back from Spring Break is always an adjustment, but at SAM, we started the season with a powerful symbolic gesture. During the Lenten season, the “Alleluia” is traditionally “buried” or put away. Upon our return, the entire school gathered in prayer to unbury the Alleluia banner.
This waving of the banner serves as a beautiful reminder of renewed joy and hope. To keep the celebration going, our students:
- Participated in a school-wide prayer service.
- Learned a new Easter song, “Lord I Lift Your Name on High.”
- Practiced a special dance that will be shared at upcoming school Masses.
Mathletes in Motion: SAM Wins Big!
Our 7th and 8th-grade students recently took their talents to the Diocesan Math Competition, and the results were nothing short of impressive. The competition was a rigorous three-round event featuring:
- A paired Knockout Competition.
- An individual Online Test.
- A group Collaboration Team Round.
We are thrilled to announce that the SAM Cougars’ collaboration team took home a standout victory by winning the Collaboration Team Round! This win is a testament to our students’ ability to communicate, think critically, and work together under pressure.
