Honoring the Body and Blood of Christ: A Public Testimony of Faith

Dear Community,

There is something profoundly beautiful about stepping outside the walls of our church to bring our faith into the light of day. As beautifully captured in our latest community reflection, gathering to honor the Body and Blood of Christ is more than a tradition—it is a powerful, public testimony of our love for our Lord Jesus Christ.

When we gather together around the Blessed Sacrament, as seen in the vibrant procession in our community flyer, we are doing exactly what we are called to do: taking our faith out into the world.

“I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever.” > — John 6:51

As we reflect on this powerful gathering, we are reminded of the three core pillars that guide our public witness:

  • We Celebrate His Real Presence: We come together to remember, honor, and adore the Body and Blood of Christ truly present in the Eucharist. It is the source and summit of our faith.
  • We Walk in Faith and Unity: A procession is a journey we take together. As a community, we proclaim our faith and offer a visible, public testimony of our deep love for Jesus Christ. We do not walk alone.
  • We Inspire the World: By taking to the streets with joy and hope, we actively live out the Gospel. We are called to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world, right here in the midst of our own neighborhoods.

Let us continue to give witness together of our faith and love for the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. Whether in the pews, in a community procession, or in our daily lives, may our actions always be a public testimony to His enduring love.

Blessings to you and your families!
