Dear Parishioners and Friends,
Mark your calendars for the weekend of July 11-12 as we observe Mission Support Sunday! This is a special time for our community to respond to the Church’s call to offer both our prayers and support for foreign missionaries working tirelessly around the globe.
We are incredibly blessed and excited to welcome Tricia Bølle, the founder of the St. Francis Xavier Lay Missionary Society, to speak with us.
Tricia is a passionate lay Catholic woman who has spent the past 18 years sharing her vocation as a lay missionary in Asia. She will be visiting us to share her experiences and to search for men and women who feel called to help share the light and love of Jesus Christ overseas.
About the Mission: The St. Francis Xavier Lay Missionary Society operates through diverse ministries, focusing on:
- Evangelization and Faith Formation: Empowering the laity, especially young adults, to deepen their knowledge of the faith and live out a Christ-centered calling.
- Social Justice: Serving society’s most marginalized groups, including victims of abuse, migrants, orphans, and individuals with special needs.
- Reaching the Margins: As lay Catholic missionaries, they are uniquely positioned to serve the Church in regions of Asia where it faces persecution or remains an extreme minority.
How You Can Help: We invite you to come and hear Tricia’s inspiring stories on July 11-12. We thank you in advance for your renowned generosity and your prayerful support of this vital, life-changing mission.
If you would like to learn more about Tricia’s work or the St. Francis Xavier Lay Missionary Society before her visit, please check out their website at www.laymissionary.org.
We look forward to seeing you there!
