Are you or someone you know interested in taking the next step in your faith journey? We are excited to share more about our OCIA program and how you can get involved, whether as a participant or a much-needed volunteer!

What is OCIA?

OCIA is a beautiful, transformative journey designed for adults and older children who wish to become Catholic or complete their Sacraments of Initiation through First Communion and Confirmation.

The OCIA process involves many moving parts. Through meaningful discussions, rituals, dismissals, and “Breaking Open the Word,” participants are guided and supported every step of the way as they prepare to become fully initiated members of the Catholic Church.

We Need You: Volunteer as a Dismissal Leader!

Our program thrives thanks to the dedication of our volunteers. Currently, we are looking for passionate individuals to serve as Dismissal Leaders.

The Role: Do you enjoy reflecting on Scripture? Dismissal Leaders facilitate “Breaking Open the Word” for OCIA participants following the homily at the 9:30 AM Mass.
Requirements: Adult volunteers for this role should be fully initiated (having received Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist) and practicing Catholics.
