Are you or someone you know looking to deepen your faith? The OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults) is a beautiful journey designed for adults and older children who wish to become Catholic or complete their Sacraments of Initiation, specifically through First Communion and Confirmation.

A Community Effort

The OCIA process involves many moving parts and relies heavily on the support of our parish family. Through discussions, rituals, dismissals, and “Breaking Open the Word,” our dedicated volunteers help support and guide those preparing to become fully initiated members of the Catholic Church.

Volunteer Spotlight: Dismissal Leaders

We are currently looking for volunteers to serve as Dismissal Leaders.

• The Role: Do you enjoy reflecting on Scripture? Dismissal Leaders facilitate “Breaking Open the Word” for OCIA participants immediately following the homily at the 9:30 AM Mass.
• Requirements: Adult volunteers for this role must be fully initiated (having received Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist) and practicing Catholics.
