We are thrilled to share some wonderful news from St. Angela Merici Parish School! This year, our students are getting a fresh opportunity to spark their creativity, curiosity, and love for the arts with the launch of a brand-new K-8 Art Program.
We are especially blessed that our Assistant Principal, Mrs. Valencia, is stepping into the classroom to serve as our K-8 Art Teacher. She is bringing exciting opportunities for our students to explore art in a hands-on and deeply meaningful way.
What Students Are Exploring This Year: Throughout the school year, students will take a deeper look at famous artists, learning about their lives, unique styles, and lasting contributions to the world of art. The program is designed to be highly interactive, giving students the chance to experiment with a wide variety of artistic techniques and mediums, ranging from drawing and painting to watercolors and pastels.
Ultimately, this new curriculum is here to encourage students to express themselves freely, build self-confidence, and discover the true joy of creating.
A Special Message from Mrs. Valencia:
“I’m truly excited to be back in the classrooms in this capacity. Art is such a wonderful opportunity for students to slow down, be creative, try something new, and express themselves in a different way. I’m looking forward to getting to know the students through their artwork and seeing where their creativity takes them throughout the year.”
Please join us in praying for a wonderful, colorful, and creative school year for all our parish school students and staff!
