A Time for Reflection, Prayer, and Community at St. Angela Merici

Dear Parish Family,

As we navigate our busy lives, it is essential to find quiet moments to center ourselves in faith and lift up our brothers and sisters in prayer. This week at St. Angela Merici, we have several beautiful opportunities to support one another and draw closer to our Lord.

Join Us for a Day of Adoration We are blessed to invite you to our upcoming Parish Day of Adoration. This is a profound opportunity to step away from the noise of the world and spend peaceful, uninterrupted time in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament. Whether you can stay for a few quiet minutes or a full holy hour, your presence is a beautiful act of faith and renewal.

Here are the details for our time of Adoration:

  • Date: Friday, August 28
  • Start Time: The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed in the Church immediately following the 8:00 AM Mass.
  • End Time: Reposition will take place just before the 8:00 AM Mass on Saturday.
  • Contact: If you have any questions, please reach out to sam.adoration.brea@gmail.com.

Prayer Requests and Pastoral Care Our community is built on love, compassion, and mutual support. We are currently holding many members of our parish family in our hearts—including Diane, Gena, Nacho, Addison, Virginia, Linda, Joe, Emilio, and those who have recently passed.

If you or a loved one are in need of prayer, or if you require a pastoral visit, please do not hesitate to reach out. Contact the parish office if you are interested in adding a name to our prayer list so that our congregation can continually cover you in prayer.

Weekly Mass Intentions Offering a Mass for a loved one is one of the most beautiful and powerful traditions of our Catholic faith. We have a full schedule of Mass Intentions this week, from August 24 through August 30, with daily services honoring both the living and the deceased. If you would like to offer a weekly Mass intention for someone you love, please contact the parish office to make arrangements.

May this week be filled with grace, peace, and the comforting presence of God. We look forward to praying with you!
